Low-stock alerts

Get an email, a Microsoft Teams message, or both, the moment an item drops to its warning, critical or reorder level.

Open your dashboard

1. Set the levels on your items

Alerts follow each item’s own thresholds. Open an item, click Edit item and fill in its warning level, critical level and, if you like, a reorder point. Low and Critical look at Stock only. The reorder point looks at Stock plus Receiving, and uses the warning level when it is left at 0.

2. Email

  1. Open Low-stock alerts and tick Send alerts by email.
  2. Under Send to, enter one or more addresses separated by commas (up to 20). Your own address is filled in to start with. Recipients don’t need an account.

3. Microsoft Teams

Tick Post alerts to a Teams channel and paste a Teams Workflows webhook URL, then use Send a test message to Teams to check it. The Teams notifications guide walks through creating the webhook, with screenshots.

4. Choose your alerts

Pick which events send an alert: warning level, critical level, out of stock and reorder point. The choice applies to email and Teams alike. Click Save alert settings.

To avoid noise, an alert is sent once, at the moment stock crosses a level, not again for every change while it stays below.
