Get your stock in without the data entry
The hardest part of any new inventory system is getting your existing items into it. If that means typing hundreds of rows by hand, the system never gets used. Bulk import turns the spreadsheet you already keep into a live inventory in a couple of minutes.
Save your spreadsheet as .csv, upload it, and Simple Inventory matches your columns to the right fields. A column called “Qty”, “Quantity” or “On hand” all map to stock; “Cost”, “Price” or “MSRP” map to value. Any column that matches one of your custom fields comes in as well, so lot numbers, bin locations and supplier SKUs land in the right place.
Then comes the part that protects your data, the preview:
- Ready to import rows are clean and will be created.
- Duplicates, both within the file and against items you already have, are skipped so you never end up with two of the same item.
- Rows with errors (a missing name, a negative count, text where a number belongs) are listed with the exact line number, so you can fix the file and re-upload.
